Mayday is my baby, she’s out of a mare I’d bought to bring on and sell, who turned out to be in foal.
She’s been brought on slowly and professionally since birth.
She’s fantastic for everything that doesn’t involve standing still, loads and travels beautifully but is fidget bum for the farrier and is also not a fan of being clipped, though iv fully clipped her each time on my own with no sedation, I won’t pretend it’s easy!
She’s not scared of anything, fab in traffic, jumped all kinds of fillers and xc jumps, never stopped, iv been popping her round 70cm courses and she has the scope to do much more but at 5’6 and 10 stone I havnt felt it’s fair to do much more with her myself. She’s keen in to a fence and would be fast against the clock, still a bit green on the turns and canter changes but learns fast and loves it.
Lives on fresh air
Hacks alone and in company and is never spooky but is always on a mission, much bigger horses struggle to keep up with her marching, she leads nicely off another horse and iv lead from her to. Never kicked or bitten human or horse.
Hunted with the seavington last season, fantastic on the move, jumped all the timbers, I’m sure she’d take on a hedge, I just havnt asked! Again is a fidget to stand around.
Snaffle mouth for everything, attended adult camp last September, doesn’t hot up in open spaces or around other horses, well behaved in warm up rings ect.
5* knowledgable home for my pocket rocket who loves to work, never bucked or took off but not a novice ride as likes to get on with the job, she has been known to rear if forced to stand but there’s not a hint of malice in her, she just hates standing still!
I love her and if I can’t find the right home I’ll be keeping her but seems a shame to waste such a cracking pony.
