13.2hh Registered WPCS Welsh Section C Chestnut Mare.

    ChestnutMare13.2 handsWelsh Sec C

Zara is a 13.2hh registered WPCS Welsh Section C, she is 13 years old and very flashy with 4 whites and a white blaze, flaxen mane and tail and traditional heavy conformation.

Zara is a lovely mover, with a big trot and uphill, bold canter.
Zara has spent the past few years as a carriage trials driving pony for competitive Scurry, but due to a carriage accident she can no longer be driven as she is now scared of the cart. The accident did not affect her soundness or ability to ride and in fact, she really enjoyed moving to a ridden career.
Zara is an easy ride, she is snaffle mouthed, soft and gentle to work with, working mainly off the seat. She is very well schooled in W/T/C and basic dressage, she picks up everything very quickly incl things like sidepassing, half passes etc.
Zara has no issues with large traffic, regularly riding alongside tractors, arctic lorries and motorbikes without issue. Will lead or bring up the back of the ride, and is so unphased that once when taking out a group hack a horse spooked and began broncing, which spooked another horse who rodeo'd her rider off and bolted and Zara didn't bat an eye, pulling up from a flat out gallop she watched the entire thing calmly then helped me catch the loose horse and return her to her rider. (have a video on this, taken one handed!)
Zara is very used to dogs/cats/and very safe around them, She is wonderful with children and has given lunge line lessons to novices as well as off line lessons to more experienced riders, and is perfect on the lead rein.
Zara recently embarked on a career in showing and placed 2nd in Ridden Mountain and Moorland and 2nd in Lead Rein/First Ridden.
She is unphased at the show atmosphere, she spent the entire show grazing or relaxing waiting for the classes, even when a horse got loose from its rider.
Zara has a fantastic bold jump and loves to work over fences, she would go far doing low level/teams show jumping and working hunter, she has a lot of scope and confidence.
Zara is very well bred with Leyeswick, Synod, Derwen and Nebo lines and would really do well showing although as said she would be a great all-rounder.
Zara would suit a home where she can take a rider further competitively (she is currently wasted where she is and not being ridden at the moment so needs bringing back into work) and would excel at showing, jumping, in-hand etc. She would be a perfect mother/daughter or sister share or just for a rider ready to compete, and is great on lead rein with younger riders and would make a fantastic second pony.
She has a ton of potential and will be the perfect addition to a family who enjoys competing or just someone who wants to hack, she really will just do anything you want.
Zara is perfect to box, shoe, groom, tack up, catch, lead, clip and is very in your pocket, loves to see you for cuddles/see what you are up to when in the field with her, she is very gentle and sweet to be around and handle. Zara is currently barefoot as she is no longer driving, she has great feet. Zara prefers to live out all year round and is a good doer, she is stabled at night currently but would rather be out (we can't as we only have 2 and the other one insists on coming in to bed :-) fed just on grass and hay, she has in the past been turned out in a mixed herd with different sized horses and is VERY gentle towards other horses.
Priced to sell so no offers please - 5* home ONLY, no time wasters or joy riders please. Will consider Loan to the right person. Videos and pics on request....Read full description
