Equestrian Advice & Guides All Disciplines
13.2hh 6yr old gelding
Good points:
-Good to hack, will walk past tractors, lorries ect
-Been on fun rides and was foot perfect, even when horses came galloping past him!
-Done XC schooling was again perfect, loved cantering through the water!
-Competed in dressage and showing and came home with very good results with a percentage of 68 and a 4th/6 in his first ever TGCA Qualifier.
-Good to load and travel, doesnt mind going anywhere by himself.
-Up to date with farrier, worming, dentist, physio ect
-Never kicked, bitten, bolted, bucked or reared.
Bad points:
- Needs more work in the school, especially his canter
-Not brilliant to clip but i have manage to clip him every winter since getting him, just patience and reassurance, just moves and jumps when the clippers turn on, nothing horrible
-NOT a novice or kids pony
-Is sensitive to riders balance, if you are unbalanced or shuffle in the saddle he will scoot forwards/sideways. But not a problem if you are a quiet rider.
He needs a confident person to show him the way and reassure him! He now just needs his person that he can bond and spend time with, unfortunately I cannot do that.
Currently in his winter wollies.
