Charlie is a 12.2/3 mini cob , approaching 11 years old.
I bought him for my son who was a basic rider a few years ago who has enjoyed his time with him, but has now chosen the dreaded round ball game over horses
Charlie has since been being ridden by my friends daughter (10 yrs old) whilst in the quest to find a pony for her own suitable needs.
I have lead him out with son on him whilst I was on my horse. Charlie was excellent with this.
He hasn’t done loads but really listens to what he’s asked, has never bolted or reared ever! He can throw in a little buck (hop) if hes deciding he doesn't want to work (or he thinks he's done enough!) but you can push him through this. Charlie really listens to what’s asked of him he’s amazing on the lunge. My friends daughter can get Charlie to walk trot (and canter when he's not too lazy)and bring him back to stop when required. He has even been known to jump a pole or two!
He is good with children and can happily be collected from the field and brought to the yard and back again.hes good with farrier and loading.
Is not the happiest about having a bath but soon comes round to it.
Charlie has been left for weeks then ridden and was perfect.
He has been such a lovely pony to have as a first family pony for the children to enjoy and am devastated that he has to go. I am sure that he will bring a family much joy for someone who is not a complete novice around horses but who wants to take that step in looking after and caring for their own.
Charlie prefers to live out and will come with Tack and rug.
