15.1hh, Irish cob, 9 year old gelding
Vinny is looking for his new forever home. Vinny is easy to do in all ways on the ground, good to shoe, clip, load, catch, bath, groom, the list goes on. Never sick or sorry. Never had the vet out for anything other than routine vaccinations etc
Vinny loves hacking and will hack alone and in company. Good in all traffic, good with dogs and kids.
In the school, Vinny has 3 nice paces that could be worked on more to potentially try the show ring or equally could be left for a nice sensible schooling session. Vinny is more of a forward cob rather than a kick along most of the time but will step down if someone less experienced is on him. Vinny doesn’t have a nasty bone in him but if excited or left out of work for a while can sometimes pop a bunny hop in when popping into canter, nothing nasty or with intention of getting you off, just excitement but you must be confident enough to deal with this, Although he hasn’t done this in a while.
Vinny loves pole work and jumping. He has tried cross country at home with us and proves to be bold into fences.
Vinny is a star to load onto a trailer or horse box, always gone in first time and been perfect to travel. Although he has not been out to many venues so I don’t know how he would be. I believe with work on this Vinny would excel in the show ring or equally go out and pop a course of jumps for fun.
Vinny would be perfect for a confident teenager who is looking for a horse to teach them the next step and bring them on leaps and bounds. Or would suit a mother/daughter share. He needs someone that is prepared to put in time to build their trust and relationship and then he’ll give you his all????
He is so loved, full of character and is my absolute world and as hard as this decision is, he deserves the most love, attention and care possible and after 4 years of owning Vinny, he is ready to go on to teach a new young person everything he has taught me or equally continue his education with an adult.
His new home is so important to me so a couple of viewings is a must if you’re seriously interested. Vinny and his new rider must be suited to each other!
