Bart is a super smart sensible full up 15h, 6 year old, palomino and white cob gelding with a superb quiet temperament. He is a lovely stamp, being nicely substantial without being too heavy, he’s more of a light weight, athletic cob. He is a great size for both adults and teenagers to ride, so would make the ideal mother/daughter share. He is beautifully marked and a very special palomino and white colour. He definitely catches the eye where ever he goes with his striking looks and his honest kind eye. He has excellent conformation, straight movement and is blemish free. He is real quality and would be a real asset in the show ring as he is very correct and will stand out from the crowd. He is a lovely all-rounder who enjoys his work and has a go at everything; he is always a very happy boy and loves to please and really is the sweetest boy.
Bart works nicely in the school; he has 3 correct balanced paces and works in a lovely soft outline. He is a very nice moving cob with lovely engaged active paces; you can’t help but stop and watch him. His canter is very uphill and feels like being on a rocking horse, you can sit to it all day long! He is a comfortable ride with a nice length of stride. He is nicely responsive off the aids and likes a quiet balanced rider. He works very well between hand and leg and gives a nice feel in the contact. He is snaffle mouthed with a lovely soft mouth. He has been ridden by a range of different riders from competent confident novices to more experienced riders. He is not suitable for a nervous or novice rider as he is a responsive ride and appreciates and deserves a competent confident rider. He has done some online dressage with success. He is ready to go out at preliminary level dressage and has the potential to progress through the levels as he is very trainable, athletic, has good natural paces and works correctly from behind.
Bart enjoys to jump and makes a good shape over a fence. He is a very honest and genuine type and always tries. He’s no world beater or next top show jumper but he likes to have a go and is a lot of fun. He has jumped around 80 cm courses with ease filling his rider with confidence. He happily jumps over coloured fillers without looking at them. He looks after her rider when jumping and will happily trot over a small cross pole. He jumps in a lovely rhythm and doesn't rush into his jumps or get silly. He would be the ideal type to take to riding club activities and clinics as he loves his work and is uncomplicated and sensible and calmly waits for his turn. He also enjoys xc and has been schooling on a couple of occasions. He jumps all kinds of fences including ditches and into water. He does actually show a nice amount of scope over the solid xc fence. Again he isn’t silly and he really tries to please his rider.
Bart is a super hack; he happily hacks out alone and in company. He is excellent in traffic, he has crossed an ‘a’ road roundabout and will patiently wait until it is clear to cross and isn't fazed by lorries passing him etc. He has been used to nanny less experienced horses out in traffic. He is great in open spaces and regularity hacks out in a group of horses and will canter in any order without getting strong or fizzy. He also regularly hacks out alone in open country side and gives a beautiful ride. He has been on long 10 mile hacks and pleasure rides where he has crossed rivers, jumped logs, crossed bridges etc all in a calm manner. He would be a great pleasure horse for hours of exploring the country side on and the ideal horse to take on horse riding holidays and to the beach.
Bart has a very kind personality and quiet and gentle temperament. He puts a smile on your face every day. He is the most mannerly horse that I have ever met. He loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend. He is always good to catch and lead in. He loves all the attention of being groomed and pampered. He is very easy to handle in all ways. He loads perfectly on any type of transport and travels like a dream. He’s great to take out and rides the same in new places as he does at home. He is a real calming influence on the other horses at the yard. He lives in or out and mixes well with other horses or turns out individually next to others. He really is a dream to look after on the ground, even non horsey people can manage to do Bart and fall in love with him! He is a real yard favourite and will be greatly missed.
Bart must go to a 10* knowledgeable home where he will be loved and cherished. He would make an excellent show cob, or he would also suit a competent teen or an adult wanting a quality all-rounder. I could also see him exceling as a dressage horse as he really does move well and stand out. He would also make a cracking low level riding club all-rounder as he is good at all disciplines and enjoys taking part. He would also be more than happy as a happy hacker/ pleasure horse as he does love his hacking and exploring. He really has so much to offer someone and will be your best friend. I would just like him to go to a knowledgeable home and to a rider not a passenger as he is too good to be pulled around and kicked. I think a lot of this super boy.
