Currently Sam is quite tight in his back end due to previous ill fitting tack and possible past injuries. This has also left him with some pain memory across his back which causes some difficult behaviour under saddle. Happy to discuss more with serious buyers.
We are doing lots of in hand walking/lunging/polework and light hacking to try and make him more comfortable and he is making good progress.
Other than this, Sam tries his hardest in the school.. When he was ridden more regularly before the soreness was picked up, he worked on the bit with minimal pressure and had nice straight and lateral movements. He has popped a few jumps on the lunge and shows amazing promise but has not done this recently.
He will hack out alone and in company -prefers to be in front of with a slower horse- not much fazes him. Has been passed by lorries, tractor and trailers, motorbikes etc and hasn't batted an eye
Unfortunately due to uni commitments I no longer have the time to give him so he keeps progressing. This is the only reason he is for sale.
He will only go to the best of homes as I don't want him passed around.
Only issue is he can't be in a large or mixed herd. Is currently in single turnout being able to see other horses and is fine. Has been in with one other gelding and got in fine too.
He will suit a competent teenager or small adult.
Will come with bridle and rugs.
