For sale: Tullibard’s Wonder Why
Connemara x thoroughbred
The past two years owning Tully has been such an brilliant experience, he’s challenging yet so rewarding and has the most incredible brain. He relishes a challenge and loves learning new things, which makes him the most lovely pony to ride every day.
Friendly with other horses, will go in his stable or live out. Prefers to be with another horse but in his last home he was out alone and perfectly happy.
He’s a delightful people pony on the yard, great to do in all ways, clean in his stable. Stands nicely to clip, bathe, travels and loads well in both trailers and lorry’s (though more experience in lorry’s) he’s easy to do at a venue, I’ve taken him alone and in company and he’s stood happily on the lorry when we weren’t there.
He’s very well schooled, and we’re having regular dressage lessons to brush up, as he looks nice whatever he does I got fairly lax schooling him over the past 6 months. He’s light in the hand and goes well off the leg. He’s an incredible jumper with scope to burn, he’ll also help you out as I’m the worst at seeing strides but he’s very honest and forgiving so will sort you out. He’s been showjumping a few times at local stuff and cross country schooling (jumping BE100 fences his first time out) he’d be a fantastic event horse as he’s so bold. Unfortunately my mum has had quite a few health issues and we don’t have our own transport so I really haven’t been able to take him out as much as I’d have liked. At his last home he was regularly competing 1.10m, I wished to do the same with him but didn’t have the means. He’s good to hack, but he needs a confident and relaxed rider so he won’t think things are scary. He goes alone and in company but I usually go with people.
I can’t express how much owning Tully has meant to me, how much he’s brought on my riding. He’s my complete dream horse and I wouldn’t sell him, but I’m travelling this year and going to uni next year, and he needs a new partner as he’s incredibly social and would be wasted stood in a field. Please don’t make this sale harder than it is already, no joyriders or time wasters. I’d love Tully’s next owner to love him as much as I have, and to keep in touch with myself and his previous owner who also adored him. ...Read full description
