Thistledown Samphire - 13.2 Liver Chestnut. Welsh b
Alfie 13 years old.
£3500 with tack and full wardrobe
We bought Alfie 2 years ago as my daughter’s (then aged 10) first pony and he has been more than worth his weight in gold but unfortunately she has hopelessly outgrown him which is heartbreaking for us all.
Alfie has the most gentle nature, he is such a loving boy and has manners to die for in and out of the stable. He is great to catch, load, travel, clip with farrier and vet. He takes everything in his stride.
Alfie is currently barefoot and always has been and is up to date with vaccinations and teeth.
Alfie will turn his hoof to anything, he hadn’t done much jumping before coming to us but he now enjoys showjumping and jumps a course with ease as our daughter jumps him on a regular basis.
He needs a confident rider with working hunter jumps but once over he is then fine and can complete a course.
Alfie excels in the show ring recently qualifying for the festival of champions through Pony club and attending the north west championships in his previous home.
We haven’t done much showing with Alfie as my daughter lacks interest but you can see from his pictures and videos how amazing he is!
He is fantastic in open spaces on his own or in company, my daughter regular gallops him over the moors and in open fields and he is never silly or strong - he has good brakes.
He will hack alone or in company and is not phased by heavy traffic.
He is an active member of pony club and has attended 2 camps, numerous rallies and training days and never puts a foot wrong.
He has been the most fun, loveable addition to our family and any potential homes will be vetted. He won’t be sold unseen as he is our pride and joy.
Alfie will only be sold to a home where we can keep in contact and regularly visit him.
It’s Alfie’s time to give another little girl or boy the fun, confidence and love that he has given my daughter.
