Connemara gelding green passport
N/N for Hoof Wall Separation disease
Located in Fife,Scotland
Paddy is a sweet boy and looks the part. My 10 year old daughter can catch him from the field, groom, tack up and ride him on the flat and up to 70cm at home in our arena. Can go up or down the gears. Main rider is my 13 year old daughter.
Currently lives out 24/7 with my gelding and my youngest daughter's mares.
Great to load, stands no issues for farrier, great to bath, loves to get clipped, can have his sheath cleaned unsedated.
Paddy has never had shoes on as far as I'm aware and has great feet.
Never sick or sorry. Up to date with jags, teeth and worming.
Must have a competent, confident rider therefore not suitable as a first pony. He has jumped up to 1m with my daughter however he does takes confidence from his rider and needs a stronger leg to get him over the larger jumps.
He has been to Pony Club rallies and to lots of arena hires. He qualified for this year's Pony Club Spring Barrier Showjumping 70, 80 and 90cm.
Has previously done dressage and seemed to do well in this aspect.
Can hack alone or in company, first or last.
Paddy's only 'requirement' is that he needs space to travel. I haven't found this to be an issue for us, but worked with him to find out what he was most comfortable with. He has always travelled herringbone with us, but he does not like being between 2 stallion partions so is much happier at the end closest to the ramp where he can see out the back, and more room between partitions so he has space to spread his legs.
Can be left in the field for 2/3 weeks and ridden again with no problems.
This is a sad sale of a much loved boy. For sale only, not for loan.
Will come with saddle and bridle
