Full Irish Draught Standing at approx 16.2 hh, rising 5 years. Breeding - by Devils Punchbowl (Crannagh Hero) out of a Westmeathe Lad Dam.
He was professionally backed last summer and bought on slowly, trained using natural horsemanship methods. He is up to date with vaccinations, dentist, has great feet (currently barefoot) and is a good doer. Loves his food! Happily lives in or out. Prior to coming to me he did a couple of days hunting in Ireland as a 3 year old.
Looking for a kind, experienced home for this lovely fella. He is green but such a quick learner - I am sure he will become the perfect allrounder. Very sad sale but having lost my heart horse prior to him we just haven’t bonded like I hoped and he deserves to find his person with the time and facilities for bringing on a young horse.
Selling from the field so please don’t expect to come and ride him. Of course you are more than welcome to come and meet and spend time with him. I would love to see him settled with his new family ready to come back into work in the Spring and have a Summer of fun.
Negatives - he had two small sarcoids removed from under his tummy via laser back in the summer. He needs practice with travelling as can become claustrophobic on the lorry. The last time he travelled he was perfect but I’d rather be honest.
