Absolutely stunning 15HH 5yr old Liver chestnut mare who really is one for the future
Ridden by child: https://youtu.be/6vNPb6gXXUI
Nell is a stunning cob with style and presence and could do well in the show ring
In the school – Nell works well in the school with 3 even balanced, floaty paces. She works in a natural outline and reacts well to leg aids without being sharp or to forward, she is not a kick along cob, she is responsive and willing with a great attitude to work, she is a very genuine mare who will try her hardest to get it right
Hacking - We regularly hack Nell alone and in company, she hacks all our county lanes and has met all traffic that comes with it, from bin men to milk tankers, we have also hacked her up our nearest busy B road passing lorries and busses. She reacted very well and is a pleasure to ride. She will go first or last or in the middle.
Jumping- Nell has just started her jumping education, he tries her heart out and is very genuine, currently jumping a 50/60cm course at home.
Open Spaces - Nell is great in open spaces, happily canters around big fields and is easy to pull up, always ridden in a snaffle.
Cross Country – We have taken Nell XC schooling and she was a superstar, had a go at everything asked of her, remained calm and relaxed while waiting on the box, she happily jumped what was asked then would stand to watch another horse have a go, she even stopped to help a lady having trouble and gave the horse a lead over a ditch (both ways) She was very genuine into water and happily splashed around in the water complex. Nell jumped tiger traps, ditches, tyres, roll tops and logs with no questions asked.
Handling- Nell is great to box, happily lives in or out, has no stable vices will happily stand in all day on her own, she is good for the farrier and is currently shod in front. She is great to load trailer or lorry and travels brilliantly. She will stand all day to be groomed and fussed and has great stable manners. Nell is easy to catch, comes to call in 15 acre field where she is turned out in a mixed herd with mares and geldings.
Who would she suit? Due to Nell’s age and lack of experience she is not suited to a novice rider at the moment, she is very genuine and in time and with more miles on the clock will likely suit any rider. She is a safe genuine mare.
