Cornflake is a stunning, 14.2hh ish skewbald, chunky mare.
Cornflake is a 5yr old mare, who is recently broken, she can be quite and wary of new people but is soon happy when settled. She has been one of her most easy, straight forward horses to break in. She has the kindest nature and is the most willing mare you could meet.
In the school – Cornflake is as straight forward as they come, she will walk, trot and canter, is balanced and has 3 nice paces. She will in the future (we think) make a great novices horse as so genuine in everything she does. She aims to please and always wants to get it right. She is not a forward going mare or a lazy kick along cob she is a lovely even tempo with great breaks, that in the future will suit many ability of riders.
Hacking – Cornflake just plods on, she has seen most types of traffic from milk tankers, road workers and bicycles, to buses on the main road into our local town. She stands for traffic to pass and then carries on. She is happy to hack alone or in company and not bothered if in front or behind. If your happy she is happy
Open spaces – we have cantered Cornflake around open fields and has seen sheep and was not bothered with them… they just move out of her way… she is more push forward than pull back, with excellent brakes, easy to halt whenever asked. She is ridden in a snaffle at all times
Jumping – Cornflake has not started to learn to jump yet but will happily walk over poles etc
Manners – Cornflake is getting used to being handled and will stand to be groomed all over, no stable vices and happy to live in or out (currently living in) she is happy to be tied up. Currently bare foot but was good for farrier to trim. She can be nervous due to not being handled much up until coming to us, she has lovely manners, is not bargy or pushy and easy to handle in and out of the stable, whether it be leading to the field or loading to go somewhere.
Who would Cornflake suit? Someone looking for their best friend, hacking buddy, horse for fun rides, beach rides etc, an all-rounder to suit anyone with time and miles on the clock. Cornflake currently would not suit a complete novice due to needing to continue her education, but with more life experience would make a proper all-round family cob.
Open to any vetting
