Our clients are looking for a personable, dynamic, well-organised individual to jointheir team and take control of the stud management side of their equine veterinary
business. They run a busy ambulatory equine practice and a specialist reproduction
clinic in Gloucestershire and need someone who has the necessary skills to help run
the centre, supervise staff routine and help the vets with their daily routine. You need
to have previous experience in staff and stud management, stallion handling and pasture maintenance.
The role is full time and involves day-to-day veterinary care of the horses on site,
assisting the veterinary team with various procedures, some laboratory work,
processing semen for international shipments, stock control, liaising with suppliers regarding orders & time sensitive deliveries and communicating with clients. You will play an integral role within the team of vets, yard staff and office staff. Good equine experience is a requirement, as are good IT skills, good communication skills, good paperwork skills and a can-do attitude. Must be confident handling horses of all
shapes and sizes. LGV lorry licence would be an advantage.
