I'm looking for a sharer for my gorgeous 14.2 hh Welsh Sec D gelding, to remain at current yard (based between Brandon and Thetford). He is never nasty, does not buck, spin, bolt or rear, but enthusiasm when hacking means he is not a novice ride, and he can sometimes be a bit spooky. Past coffin joint cartilage issue limits to hacking and schooling, so if you are looking for a pony to jump, he is not it. He is beautifully schooled and well mannered but being a Welshie has his own opinions and so needs a firm but fair approach. Sharer must be a team player, reliable and receptive to new ideas. He suffers from sweet itch and so daily application of lotion to affected parts is essential (hence the need for reliability). Ideally 3/4 days a week, but this is flexible (both on number of days and which days), to join a friendly, supportive yard with plenty of opportunity to make friends to go hacking with. There is also the opportunity for lessons for those that want to further their horsey education.
So to summarise: I'm looking for someone reliable, who can work as part of a team. They must be comfortable with a forward-going horse who can sometimes spook. They must have their own transport.
