Geelong malt tease (BSJA) Extremely sad sale of a super mare!! Part ownership also considered. And I would love to keep the ride, if any owner wanted!!!
Mia has been in the same home since a 4yo she is now 14 but up until 2 years ago had very low mileage so she is still well in her prime. Irish bred mare (maltstriker) approx 16.1. She has competed successfully with wins on her record up to 1.30- this is no way her limit either.
She has been ridden often by complete novices and jumped with them and really looks after them- although She isn't the easiest horse to ride- she's very forwards going strong and bouncy but she never ever bucks or rears, never stops and will go off any stride. Has been ridden and jumped by children age 7-10 also and looks after them.
She has been Xc once- was absolutely terrified but once she got used to it she jumped everything as if she'd done it all her life.
Her flatwork is good- although it takes a lot of time and hard work to keep it that way, slow and tidy isn't her favourite subject everyday!
She loves hacking but doesn't like to lead the way. Will happily walk across an open field though whilst others go for a gallop. She will hack alone- if you battle it out (she just plants or runs backwards- never bucked or reared)
She is spooky to ride which can make her sometimes a little bit sharp but never at a fence. She will jump anything!!!!
She is very good on the ground but will walk all over you if you don't discipline her regularly.
She does have melonomas as all greys do. and she has had a small touch of laminitis once 3 years ago. She has no other known health issues. She is up to date with all Pysio, Teeth etc.
She does often jump out of her field and she doesn't like to be stabled 24/7!
She is good to clip (twitch for her head and legs though!) perfect for farrier and to load and travel.
She will only go to a 10** home!!!
