I have made the heart breaking decision to offer for sale my lovely 7yo 15.2 ISH dun mare as sadly she will not make the grass roots eventer I had envisioned.
She does not enjoy jumping so if this is your main focus or you wish to jump competitively she is not for you.
She is not a sharp horse but can be spooky, not suitable for a novice or nervous rider, no napping/bucking/rearing but best suited for an experienced and confident rider/home.
She has competed numerous times unaf. Sj over the small courses with lots of double clears up to 60cm, she has done pretty much every fun/farm ride and x-country course locally, ironically her bravery is not in question nor her scope as she will happily tackle any ditch/water/step/drop. If you wanted to pop a small fence occasionally or go on a fun ride this shouldn’t be an issue.
She has also been out with the bloodhounds last season, her first experience was with over 130 mounted and she behaved impeccably, doesn’t mind where you are in the field and stands like a rock in the biggest crowd, goes at whatever pace you ask but won’t be tackling the hedges.
Will cross any terrain and is sure footed and tough, bags of stamina, would make a super endurance horse and would love the job.
Hacks out every week on country lanes/main roads and through villages, goes over bridges across busy roads including the M6, not fazed by any type of traffic or vehicle, totally tractor proof, we usually go alone but she is equally as good in company, first or last, great to nanny less confident horses.
Lovely flatwork, responsive to the leg, working correctly with balanced rhythmical paces, has competed dressage (and combined training) at prelim level, lots of 7s and 8s, fab transitions including directs and now working on the next level, lots more to come here if dressage is your focus.
Stunning looking with good confirmation, a few small blemishes but would knock their socks off at local level showing.
The same to ride in any environment/occasion or weather, ride as little or as often as you like.
Loads and travels in a trailer stress free, you can load her and take her out on your own with no fuss, also used to going out with another horse but you can go off and do your own thing without an issue, loads and travels every week.
I do sedate her myself with dormosedan gel for clipping as she is nervous but otherwise no issues, great for the farrier.
Very polite and gentle to handle, turned out with a mare and a gelding, out in the day and in at night with me but would happily live in or out, real hardy good doer.
Absolutely no stable vices, not even a door kicker.
Currently lives on a large busy livery yard, used to farm machinery/dogs/cats/children/a ll manner of comings and goings.
Very loving horse that forms a strong bond with her owner, very talkative, a pleasure to own.
Up to date with vaccinations/teeth etc , in superb condition, fit and ready to go out and be enjoyed.
If she enjoyed jumping or I could afford another horse as well she wouldn’t be for sale but unless I win the lottery soon I have to find her a new home.
5 star loving home wanted, where she will be someone’s best friend and horse of a lifetime.
