5 year old ISH grey mare, standing approx. 16.1h.
Started the process of backing her (late starter as she was a little underweight when I got her) a few months ago…. got to the point of lunging, long reining and leaning across her well…and just started to sit up on her. Unfortunately I injured myself and I have not been able to carry on her education and she has been left for a while no doing much. Hand on heart I think she needs to go to a professional to be backed as I have noticed she can be sharp. When I was leaning over her she shows signs of being nervous, once she relaxes she is fine but takes a while to accept new things. You can tell she isn’t being nasty however is tense and so will need to be taken very slowly by someone who has a lot of patience and extra people on the ground to support them.
I have to be honest with myself and I have realized that after my accident I probably won’t have the confidence or strength to continue her education and I don’t want her sat in a field for another year because she is too good.
Paces good enough for pure dressage, has a very active hind leg and proving to have a very careful and clean jump.
King of Diamonds Lines so very well bred and would be an excellent Broodmare as has a temperament to die for! A 4 year old child can lead her in from the field and she would just walk slowly so as not to pull her.
*** please can I stress that this horses needs things taken slowly, but for a professional I am sure she would be no problem***
Happy to also consider homes as a Broodmare as well as home is very important for such a sweet and loving mare.
