Pippa Hutton secures sponsorship from Sue Carson Saddles

Pippa Hutton made a successful international debut on the Dimaggio mare Duela at the Junior European Championships in Denmark, having recently secured support from Sue Carson Saddles.

Riding on a new Grand Prix saddle from Sue Carson Saddles, Pippa finished 12^th in the team test on 68% and 13^th in the Kur, scoring over 70%.

Duela, now nine years old, was bought by Philip Woof as a foal and produced by him until Pippa was given the ride just four months before what was her first appearance at the European Championships.

Phil said afterwards, “Having trained Duela (Missy) to advanced level, I was looking for a young rider to take her and improve her, as I think she is capable of Grand Prix. Having seen Pippa riding, I knew she rode with feel and thought they would make a good partnership. So far so good.”

Pippa said afterwards, “She’s a dream ride and the first time I sat on her we just clicked, but although she always tries her best, this was so unexpected.”

Sue Carson Saddles also supports Sam Thurman-Baker, who was the highest scoring team member in the Junior Europeans with Spring Pascal and won the Queen of Denmark’s award for the most stylish rider, along with fellow team member Emma Corbett and Furst Diamantino.
