Olympia London International Horse Show update: Historic win for British pairThursday 15 December 2011
Yesterday’s events at the London International Horse Show led to a historic win for Laura Bechtolsheimer and her horse Mistral Hojris. The pair became the first British winners of the Olympica World Cup qualifier since its inception in 2004 and the first Briton to win a World Cup qualifier freestyle. “The result was a dream come true for British dressage,” said Stephen Clarke, President of the Ground Jury. “The riders did a fantastic job and made us, the judges, work. It was difficult to separate them and with such huge scores.” Laura and Mistral Hojris were impeccable throughout the beautifully timed, foot-tapping ‘Shadows’ routine. “I had such a great ride. Alf was right on the button and to win at Olympia in-front of the home crowd at the end of a season is really special,” said Laura. comments: related news: General Equestrian News 04.02.2010 2009 Mongol Derby was a “huge success…a brand new sport tourism variety” General Equestrian News 02.08.2010 Horse Box Towing Advice from the Highways Agency General Equestrian News 22.11.2010 Careless driving is taking the joy out of horse riding says survey popular news: General Equestrian News 24.05.2012 Horse destroyed after collision with Bentley Horse Welfare News 24.05.2012 Farrier suspended for three months after causing unnecessary suffering Celebrity/Rider News 25.05.2012 Zara Phillips carries Olympic torch on a nervous Toytown in Cheltenham Related ads: | ![]() ![]() John Whitaker Men's Emblem Polo Shirt Straight cut polo that is designed for comfort and style Colour: Brown, Navy and White Now available for just £15.99 with FREE UK delivery |
