Mark Todd Selects – a special sports horse
masterclass for Scotland
BHS Scotland has joined forces with the famous Balcormo Stud in Fife to present an historic event that first ran 25 years ago.
In 1984, hot on the heels of his first Olympic Gold at Atlanta, Mark Todd gave a demonstration at Balcormo Stud entitled ‘Mark Todd goes shopping’ where he was shown a number of horses of all types. He then gave his opinion on his likes and dislikes as sport horses, from all angles; conformation, movement, type, ability, scope, jump, trainability, temperament and suitability. At that time, he purchased a horse called Joint Venture, which went on to event and do dressage at a high level.
Mark, the consummate all-round horseman, returns to Gleneagles on 4 March at 7pm where he will again assess a group of sports horses in what promises to be an evening of insight, learning and fun.
BHS Scotland chairman Loraine Young said: “We are delighted to be involved in bringing Mark Todd to Scotland to present a masterclass. Sharing his knowledge of horses and seeing him ride top quality horses will be educational in the utmost!”
Tickets for the masterclass cost £20 each – buy four and get a fifth free.
