KBIS to sponsor the Stately Homes ChallengeTuesday 24 May 2011
KBIS British Equestrian Insurance have agreed to take over the sponsorship of the Stately Homes Challenge for 2011 from Mitsubishi Motors. Sourcing a new sponsor, in the current economic climate, has been difficult and with the challenge looking like it could be lost altogether KBIS, title sponsors of Highclere Horse Trials, where the final of the Stately Homes Challenge is run, have kindly agreed to take on the sponsorship of the challenge as well. Managing Director of KBIS, Mr Guy Prest, is also the Director of the newly formed organising committee behind Highclere Horse Trials, KBIS Trial Time and said: "KBIS is very committed to supporting British Eventing as the members form one of our core client groups. "We currently sponsor the under 18 series (U18), part of Longleat and of course Highclere but enjoying the sport as I do I felt it was important that the Stately Homes Challenge remained in place. However it will mean that the Stately Homes Challenge will have to carry a slightly reduced first prize of £2,000. "We hope that riders will still feel that this Challenge is a positive addition and it will still hold one of the highest first prizes for a series at Intermediate level. On a positive note the prize money for the advanced classes at Highclere will be increased for 2011." For further information on the Stately Homes Challenge visit www.highclereequestrian.com
