Horse transport and self drive hire: a cheaper alternative say HorseTransportNetwork.com

Horse transport and self drive hire: a cheaper alternative say HorseTransportNetwork.com

Leading network of Horse Transport & Self Drive Hire HorseTransportNetwork.com is bucking the recessionary trend and has reported a growth in consumers seeking quotes for horse transport and self-drive hire. The growth is thought to be driven by the recession as consumers are looking for alternatives to owning diesel thirsty lorries.

Sarah Richardson from HorseTransportNetwork.com said: “Hiring a self-drive horse box or trailer or getting a driver to transport a horse on your behalf can often be cheaper than paying tax, insurance and general running costs of your own horse box.  Hiring a trailer for the day can cost as little £45 which is considerably cheaper than owning your own especially when you are only using it a couple of times a month.”

Traditionally consumers most likely to use a horse transporter were those occasional users who don’t have any transport of their own or people who have just bought or sold a horse and who either don’t have the time or perhaps are not confident to drive a strange horse for a long journey, however this is definitely changing.

Sarah said: “We have had feedback that consumers are hiring horse transporters as a cheaper alternative to driving their own lorries. Our registered transporters often use the 3.5 and 5 ton lorries which are more economical to run than the 7.5 and 12 ton, especially when only one horse is being moved”.

HorseTransportNetwork.com was set up in 2010 as a quick and easy way for consumers to get quotes for horse transport, self-drive hire and discounted empty-load return journeys from registered horse transporters nationwide simply by filling in one form.
