Gray Hooper Holt Supports Raystede Centre for Animal WelfareWednesday 08 February 2012
Gray Hooper Holt Solicitors LLP has offered funds to Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare and has also pledged to support the Centre’s important care work for animals.
Raystede cares for over 1500 unwanted and abandoned animals every year and offers a loving environment for animals in need of a new home. Gray Hooper Holt’s sponsorship will be used to ensure the Centre is able to continue their exceptional level of care for unwanted dogs.
Gray Hooper Holt Solicitors, based in Redhill, has a longstanding relationship with Raystede, as Robert Gray, partner and member explains: “Myself and a number of my colleagues have been visiting Raystede for several years now and I adopted my dog Molly from the Centre. We remain avid supporters of the work carried out at Raystede, which offers a loving home to a wide range of animals and provides a fantastic place for all animal lovers to visit.”
Since it was founded in 1952, Raystede has become one of East Sussex’s most popular destinations, attracting around 150,000 visitors every year.
“The care and support offered by the Raystede Centre has touched people across the whole county. The Centre is incredibly popular for school trips, providing an educational and fun day out for kids and offers specialist sessions for adults and children with special needs, who benefit enormously from contact with the dogs and other animals at the Centre. We are delighted that our sponsorship will help Raystede continue to offer these services for our local community and ensure the Centre is able to keep building on their current achievements.” Added Robert.
The Raystede Centre spans over 47 acres in the Lewes countryside and has built up state of the art facilities to provide the best possible care for the animals, which includes individual kennels for every dog as well as an outside agility run to help keep the dogs fit and healthy.
Raystede’s chief executive, Nigel Mason said: “I welcome the support of Gray Hooper Holt Solicitors, their generous funding for our work during 2012 will help ensure we remain a centre of excellence for animal care. We are entirely reliant on the goodwill of our visitors and supporters to do the work that we do. I am very much looking forward to working with all the staff at Gray Hooper Holt over the coming year.”
Raystede survives due to the selfless work of staff and volunteers, charitable donations and legacies left from deceased supporters.
