Glee star backs Pamela Anderson campaign against horse-drawn carriagesTuesday 03 May 2011
Glee star Lea Michele has publicly backed Pamela Anderson’s campaign against horse-drawn carriages in Central Park, New York.
New York native Michele has been filming for the hit show “Glee” in the city where she struck an unusual alliance with the ex-Baywatch star Anderson.
Writing to the blond actress on Twitter, Michele expressed her concern over the treatment of the horses in New York City’s main open space: “I’m in NY (New York) right now and it is devastating to see these horses on these busy streets at all hours. Wish this would end…”
Anderson is hoping to replace the horse-drawn carriages in Central Park with classic cars and was spreading her message in New York while Michele was shooting “Glee”.
Michele has been very vocal in the past regarding her feelings on horses not belonging in the city and is the face of a PETA campaign for the same cause.
