Get your ticket to the world’s best equestrian Christmas party - Olympia, The London International Horse Show

Join in the equine Christmas party at Olympia, The London International Horse Show. The 2009 show dates are 15th – 21st December and a high demand on tickets is expected as normal, when the box office opens on 29th June. Last year two performances sold out within six weeks of the box office opening!

Once again the show welcomes FEI World Cup™ Dressage to London on the opening evenings (Tues & Weds) in the form of a Grand Prix and Freestyle to Music, both supported by Horse & Hound.

The Jumping action kicks-off from Thursday through to Monday with The Accenture Christmas Puissance held on Friday evening, the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping presented by H&M on H&M Sunday and the Alltech Olympia Grand Prix on Monday evening. The popular Six Bar is also back in the arena on Monday afternoon.

Complementing this world class action are two phenomenal, crowd pleasing displays. Jean-Francois Pignon and his astounding white horses are back at Olympia for the first time in over a decade. His last performance at Olympia in 1997 was his first at an indoor show in the UK. The much-loved Metropolitan Police Musical Ride, supported by Champagne Taittinger will also be enthralling the audiences with its mesmerising skill and horsemanship. Additionally, young and old alike cannot fail to be captivated by the Osborne Refrigerators Shetland Pony Grand National and the Kennel Club Dog Agility finals.

Amidst all the action is the chance for some last minute Christmas shopping at the Olympia Shopping Village. With over 200 shops from fashion to horsewear, jewellery to food, there are present ideas to suit the whole family – and treats for yourself too! And when you’ve shopped till you’ve dropped, why not stay for the night at the Olympia Hilton – Olympia’s official hotel.

Olympia’s nominated charity for 2009 is the Brooke, the UK’s leading overseas charity dedicated to alleviating the suffering of horses, donkeys and mules working in the poorest parts of the world. The Brooke is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and as Olympia’s chosen charity it will receive 50 pence from every ticket sold on the Thursday (17th) afternoon performance.

Ticket Information:

Tickets for The Olympia London International Horse Show are priced between £25 and £51 (£25, £35, £45, £51) with various discounts available for groups, seniors and children. Tickets include entrance to the Shopping Village but these can also be purchased separately without a show ticket for only £8.
