Celtic Sheepskin are renowned for their Sheepskin Ugg style boots, which they’ve been making in Cornwall since the early ‘70s. Hand-made by skilled craftsmen & women, their sheepskin footwear is made in a factory that really cares about its environment. They make boots that actually last, offering a re-pair and re-sole service to pro-long their life even more – that’s got to be good on the purse strings! Many of their customer’s still wear boots they bought 20 years ago!

All of Celtic Sheepskin’s products are made using natural fibres; sheep, cows, goats, alpacas and camels as well as from the cotton and bamboo plants. These are far less harmful on the environment when you compare against the energy intensive, man-made alternatives such as nylons.

In an age where throw-away fashion is becoming all too common, not only are Celtic’s fabrics less harmful in production, they are also fashioned from sustainable sources and some of their chosen fabrics even reduces waste. For instance, the sheepskin used for their footwear, outerwear and furnishings, comes from skins which are all a by-product of the meat industry which, although biodegradable, cannot be put to landfill (when not tanned) so would otherwise have to be incinerated - an extremely energy intensive process. By taking these skins and turning them into something practical (and beautiful!), Celtic are recycling before their products even get onto the shop floor!
