Champion pony rider Jessica Mendoza launches fan club

Multiple Champion pony showjumper, Jessica Mendoza, who turned 16 this April and is starting to make the transition to ‘horses’ this year, has launched an official fan club and new website at www.jessicamendoza.co.uk
The ‘Jump with Jess’ (JWJ) Fan Club will offer fans the opportunity to stay in touch with Jessica and follow her bid to reach the top, both behind-the-scenes at home and at competitions. Membership will be free until the end of this year and will include a signed photograph, newsletters, competitions and the chance to get training advice from Jess on a JWJ ‘Fan of the Month’ feature.
“I have always been amazed and humbled by how many people have followed my career so far. As my competition schedule gets busier and faced with the usual school exams, I am finding it much harder to stay in touch with my supporters so creating an official fan club seemed to make perfect sense,” explains Jess.
Since the start of the year, Jess has taken on her first horse, Classic Highfly, on whom she beat off a competitive field of riders (all older than herself) to take The Team Murka and World Class Programme under 23 British Championship Qualifier at The Hand Equestrian Centre in March.
Jess’s career is managed by her parents, Paul and Sarah, who have a small yard in North Wiltshire: “We are keen to talk to both additional sponsors and owners who might like to join Team Mendoza, as Jess moves to this next stage of her career. We don’t have a lot of space for new horses so we are just looking for one or two new top class rides for Jess,” commented Paul.
Team Mendoza’s sponsors currently include, Antarès Sellier France, Sovereign Horseboxes and Baileys Horsefeeds. Jessica recently featured in the Canter Banter programme shown on Sky Sports and Horse & Country.
