XC PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY WORKSHOPS 2010

The full day Indoor workshops have been designed to improve rider knowledge and awareness, which alongside technical ability are the main ingredients to a happy, safe and successful season. They are an ideal pre-season training session aimed at developing confidence in horse and rider.

The day starts with a practical course walking session highlighting how influential walking the correct line is to your XC round.

A 1 1/4hr riding period focuses on the balance of horse and rider whilst learning to correctly negotiate different types of XC fences such as corners, curving lines, angles, skinnies, etc.

A theory session of 2 1/2hrs covers areas such as horse and rider responsibility and fitness, developing the correct mental approach, keeping the competition horse on the road, DVD rider analysis using examples of different types of XC fences and looking at different speed approaches and any other topics that are relevant.

This fully informative day caters for individual needs and offers the rider a point of contact for any other problems that arise through the competitive season.
