Blenheim to host first ever fun ride
![]() |
For the first time ever the Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials will host a fun ride which will take place on Sunday 9th September, from approx 12pm - 5pm, at the Horse Trials itself. It will be a first-time opportunity for people to ride on the roads and tracks of the Blenheim Estate and along some of the three day event track after the CIC cross country has finished; including Blenheim’s world famous river crossings.
“The fun ride will offer the opportunity to enjoy some amazing views of the Estate and Palace from the back of your horse, something which is normally not accessible to everyday riders,” explains Mandy Hervieu, Event Director.
“The cost of the ride is £40 which includes access to the event itself on Sunday, so once you have ridden you can go shopping or see some of the demonstrations, the High jump or bareback show jumping competitions, CCI show jumping, or turn up early and watch some CIC 3* cross country before you ride yourself!"
The ride, which covers approximately 10 miles, will incorporate some optional fences of 2'3" to 2'9" and some unique photo opportunities. There will only be a limited number of places available, so applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis and a 'wait list' will cut in if places are oversubscribed. The Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials runs from 6-9 September 2012.
