HOYS Appearance from Knights of Middle England
Tuesday 02 November 2010
After winning the H-Factor ‘battle’ at the ultimate British Open Showjumping Championships earlier in the year, the awe-inspiring Knights of Middle England descended on The Horse of the Year Show 2010 at the LG Arena at the NEC, Birmingham, to perform their thrilling show to the 8,000+ spectators throughout the event.
After months of polishing up their innovative and exciting routine, the knights packed up their team of professional riders, stunt men and horses, plus all the necessary equipment, and descended on the event in plenty of time to rehearse in the main arena.
As an integral part of the HOYS entertainment, The Knight’s display wowed the audiences with a new and exclusive performance. Their fast-paced stunt riding and jousting, combined with their team of regal and handsome knights had the audience screaming & cheering, creating a very British feel at one of the UK’s largest equestrian events.
Director, Karl Ude-Martinez said “To have the opportunity to perform at HOYS is a dream come true for us. Our aim was to create a visual and inspiring performance, and by using the impressive range of sound & technical effects available, we designed an electric & engaging show. There were horses galloping through smoke, fire, stunts, cages and a princess who needed to be rescued! And what an atmosphere, it was an amazing experience to be part of.”
