“Training The Show Jumping Horse & Rider Event” With John Whitaker & Billy Twomey

On Tuesday 17th November 2009 Towerlands Park are playing host to the ‘Training The Show Jumping Horse & Rider Event’ which is supported by British Show Jumping.

The event will bring together for the first time, the great John Whitaker MBE and Billy Twomey giving a unique insight into the production of both horses and riders within the Show Jumping environment. 

This is an absolutely unique event that shouldn’t be missed whether you are a rider, competitor, supporter or a professional coach training others to compete at their best. The day will see both riders illustrate their approach to identifying and nurturing ultimate performance whether it be across young horses at the start of their career or the experienced and established competition horse and rider. Demonstrating their approaches individually, both riders will also share their collective thoughts with the audience focusing on specific horses and riders within the arena, making this an absolute one-off event for those attending.
Working with both horses and riders at varying levels of experience, the day will not only be illuminating but also an extremely enjoyable one.

In addition to this, there is the opportunity to ask any performance related questions you may have personally during the ‘Open Forum’ periods which take place during the day.
