Morris’s owners say, “Morris was adopted by us from the RSPCA as a 2YO having been tethered and starved. We backed him at home as a 4YO and have used him mainly for hacking. He lives out with our other horses on our farm. He is easy to do, barefoot, travels well and loves his stable but is kept in on a regular basis. He has some bare skin from his early neglect so he needs some sunscreen or a light rug on during sunny days. Morris would appreciate a confident rider and loves to hack, never fizzy on open ground - he has been ridden on Exmoor for the last four years. He walks into the trailer. He does not need to be ridden daily, 2-3 times a week is fine, as he is calm and sensible. He can be willful on the ground and around food so needs a confident handler, 16 or an adult, He has been ridden by both male and female teenagers. He needs a good rug and shelter in winter/rain. He has just had two weeks schooling by a prof. rider. Our daughter who owns Morris is travelling for her gap year, then off t University, so we are looking for somebody local to us, so we can keep in touch with Morris.
