Lila is a wonderful kind hearted little pony who had lived with my horses as a companion since she was 18 months. She originally came from the animal health trust and has had lots of handling and is very friendly and loving. She has not been backed as I do not have anyone small enough for her but I think she would be ready if you have someone competent. I expect she would need a slightly older child to start with as she is not a complete dobbin and does snort and boggle at things sometimes when we go out for walks. She has been walked in hand, lunged, played around over jumps which she loves, and a bit of long reining. She is an excellent companion to other horses and a great friend to people. She loves food of course and her weight must be watched. She has never had full blown laminitis although has shown some warning signs when the grass has got particularly rich here in the fens (the peaty land is very fertile so not ideal for a Welsh really!). She is happy to be left alone when other horses go out even if they go all day to a show. I am keen to find a loving home for her and will consider loan or sale. She needs someone who is kind as she can get stressed if pushed too hard to do something, this is not something I see often but on occasions such as trying to load her into a trailer she can get a bit reactive if people try and really force her, so a gentle calm approach that will let her take her time to sniff and make her way on board at first is good. She has been in the trailer happily having done this. She had a beautiful welsh trot and loves to zoom around the field with great speed and agility!
