History

Originating in England, this pony for sale was commonly used by royals to draw their carriages. Their unique spotted coats meant they were extremely sought after and were a rare breed worth a great amount of money. In 1947 the breed was officially registered and preserved as both horses and ponies. It was not until 1976 that the horses and ponies were split into two different recognised breeds. 

Appearance

These ponies for sale are well-known for their leopard-spotted colouring and can come in numerous variations. Other types of spots are not considered in the same category of pony for sale. Another major requirement includes rosy, mottled skin around the eyes, muzzle and inner ear. The hooves must also be striped.

This pony for sale is active and hardy. Height can range greatly between 8hh and 14.2hh. Generally speaking, these ponies for sale are more desirable to many when they are smaller.
