He's a Gypsy Vanner, they are famous for their super long manes and tails...

Wow He's a bit freaky too - when he goes down to graze & then jumps all 4 feet on the spot!

I think that's because he is being chased!! (maybe have a whip? Then when he stops they we give it a crack) all he wants to do is eat the grass.

The American's like the Gypsy cobs ! And alot of our the English cobs are sent over there. Apparently (i was told) that there was alot of American's at the Appleby horse fair!

i totally agree, also i bet it'll take forever to brush, must be hard with the personality of the horse. i dont envy the owner :)

my vanner has as much mane and feathers but i draw the line at tail dragging , my ponys tail is level with bottom of feathers . in the vanner world its called a wedding dress tail and is looked upon as something spectacular and the more hair they have the more value they hold . believe me when i say true vanners and gypsy cobs are sold for fortunes , do a search on gypsy cob stallion the lion king and the website tells you how much his foals sell for , lion king died recently from surgery so any of his offsprings value will have increased . its gobsmacking lol !!
