Hi, i don't event have done cpl of X-countrys i'm not brave enough for eventing, i'll rather showjump, jumps fall down easyer, i'll have and will jump anything any height and any spreads walls, water jumps in any arena's, but when it comes to X-country i'm not very brave, i had a Grade A jumper a few years ago and i would jump anything on her both X-c and showjumping, or if we were out hacking, cos i know is would jump anything in front off her, but with any other horse or pony i **** myself.

I did a X-country event with my friends 14.2hh pony, and kia her 10yr old daughter on her juming pony, we entered the pairs 1st, we started off very fast kia's pony is very fast anyway, my pony was fast but not as fast, she was not build 4 speed (best her) but kia's pony was, they were jumping fantastic, fast but flowing, we headed 4 home for the 1st time, and my pony was very strong, but i could hold her just, we had 2 jump a fence together which we did great, 1st 1's to do it then as we went to turn away from home to the other jumps, i could not turn, at all my pony did not want to turn at all, she was going to join the other horses, i managed to turn her just but the ground was wet and she fell on me, all 4 legs just went from under her, both ok, that shock me up lots, my frind wanted me to do another round, but i said no, said i hurt to much, she knew i was to scared to, but she made me, i knew i had to but i was ****ting myself, if i had not then i would not off at all again.

So pleased i did, cos now i not as scare anymore and would love to do it lots more, cos i do enjoy X-C, but have not done much, i've just showjumped.

Why is it i'll jump any showjump put in front off me, and if i fall off get straight back on, but **** myself when it comes to X-C even though the jumps are smaller, in the classes i do???????? i know a few people the same and the other way round to, how about you any stories yet are you braver at 1 than the other?

im currently (and very sadly) selling my JC sj ponies to be able to afford a potential event horse. i always wanted to event but have never had a horse that would do it, i have a 17.2hh duch warmblood who is a great sj but wont event, and a 15.2 british warmblood who is doing adv medium dressage but turns into a maiak when asked to jump a fence. I am out of juniours bsja now so i have to sell my ponys and when i do im planning to buy a young eventer with advanced event potential. but i really dont want to have to sell bob (my first pony) :( its gonna be soooooooooooo sad.

heya...

i started out eventing when i was 13years old i was quite late into starting eventing compared to my otha m8s because i was on the showjumping team but wonted to have a go at eventing...:D mum and dad brought me a 2 gorgues horses a 16hh thorobred x irish draught 10yearold gelding called charlieboy...and a 6 year old 16.2hh dutch warmblood who is now 17.2hh calleed mischeif maker...

i started out on charlieboy just havin a play at unaffiliated eventing competions and i got spotted by my local riding club.... they have helped me so much that my and charlie are now doing intermediate level and mischeif has started pre-novice as my sista is a showjumper he was showjumping wiv her as a 6year old up until he was 9 as he was a little bit strong and keen wiv me... i have been riding since i was bout 18months old...and had ponies ever since...

i have always had young ponies and horses but charlie was brought older because i wonted to have a bash at eventing and i had a fall from my old jumping pony and shattered my left arm and broke 2 ribs when i was 11...

it was quite a step frm a 14.2 up to a 16hh horse... as before i was used to kickin my jumping ponies and with charlie he is a push button so i made the mistake of kicking and he took of with me that was my first lesson into learning about charlie...

:) tash xxxxxxx

i have recently got into eventing and aspire to be the next gorgie spence or mary king! the only prob is i don't have a pony!

Learning is the easy bit, remembering it is the hard bit!

I haven't got into yet, but i'm planning to.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard my current pony tries her heart out for me, she's just not able to make the distance and heights of BE:(

Hence why i'm looking for one to take me forward now :D
