What area are you looking in. I now a few that are local to me that have some nice cobs. I guess it depends on opinion as they are not really my thing.

hija, i had a great chat with a lady called tanya from Coloured Cobs, if you type in coloured horses on the Horsemart site some of hers come up. she is the only dealer ive had contact with and to be honest that was with a bit of caution as you hear such dodgy reports from dealers. Its really safer if you can find one thru word of mouth who is local to you, i know this isnt always possible tho.

best of luck

fi

We live in Lincolnshire, think I have heard bad reports about coloured cobs, this is sooooo much harder than I thought it was going to be. So many now are sold as soon as I ring, but guess that means thet were good!!  lol

Your Thread is: Anyone no of any cob dealers, but then u just posted saying you wouldnt buy from the second one becasue he is a dealer?

Im very confused. Im in Essex and can buy a nice cob for reasonable money in a day if required.

you make it sound as if dealers cant be trusted, most dealers are very knowlegable when it comes to horses & can usally tell if an animal is hounest or not & whether it is suited for the person he is selling it to. After all, he wants you to tell your friends where you got your good horse from so he will sell another on another day. It is his income, his livelyhood, his way of providing for his family, he is not going to do that for long if he sells you a baden is he !!!   Its the ones who do not give a dame about man or beast that is going to rip you off & possibly get you hurt that are the ones to stay away from. Look for the ones that have been in buisness for a long time not the pikie at the local sale

thats ok Jay, im not a dealer myself but i grew up in dealer yards, i know there are some baddies out there but most of them are good. Try looking on the welsh society site as they have a very good list of welsh dealers in all areas.

Good luck

P.S

welsh are the best you can have in my books, they are all i keep exept the odd one crossed with hackney

I was just wondering why are you looking for a dealer?..
I agree there not all bad but why dnt you just buy from a private seller?
You could try safecobs but they are pricey
Hope you have some luck :)

Im based in Essex. At the moment I no of a few nice cobs but they are from a dealer. A nice 2yr old Black Section D with full Welsh passport he is going to be lovely, uncut and unspoilt. He has black magic lines.
