Looking at a horse for loan

Postby Little madame on Wed Nov 12, 2008 9:45 pm

Ive found a horse that is for long term loan near me that sounds ideal she is a 5 yr old dales cross

14.2 that has been backed and ridden but needs someone to put the time and effort in to bring her

on she is forward going but sensible. She has won classes at county level in hand and Im hoping to

go and see her within the next week. The lady has had her since a foal.

Just wondered if any one had any more advise on anything i will need to especially look at

me and MTB have thought of a few things today but would appreciate any advise

:D:D:D:D

for me personally i would be asking the owner how she has handled the horse and how she has ridden it, also how was it backed? at least then you know how to continue it the way she started it, if it's happy with her way then best to carry it on. good luck with the viewing. :D
