NF Stallions - Responsible Breeding Decision

Postby ForesterLover on Mon Mar 09, 2009 12:53 pm

This year they have decided that there will be no Forest run stallion passing.

The decision made is 20 stallions will run out on the forest, for 4 weeks only - the 5 that have wintered out plus the 15 highest scoring unrelated stallions from last year's passing.

They're worried about the quantity of foals and the prices they're not making at the auctions, and the effect that the credit crunch will have on an already not-doing-very-well price climate

The Society is so pro-active. I think that it is a credit to them & the commoners, verders etc
