Honest AdvertAbsolutely stunning, beautiful temperament, project pony.
Dolly has been with us about 4 years now, she was pregnant when she arrived and had a beautiful foal that is still with us. She was backed and lightly broken to walk and trot around 18 months ago but hasn’t done anything since due to lack of small rider.
She went beautifully in both paces, forward going and responsive. Never bucked or reared and took it all in her stride. Would need a confident little rider, and would make an excellent second pony. This pony jumps for fun, although never under saddle as of yet, again due to lack of rider. But will happily jump 1m of her own accord if jumps are left in the school.
Dolly was completely wild when arrived. We think she was forced on to a trailer with yard brushes etc as she is not a fan. But will let me muck her out in a large stable, if you don’t fly around and take your time with her. If you don’t push her, she would never hurt you on purpose. She’s the friendliest horse on our yard, and is always the first for a cuddle.
Great to catch etc. Will stand all day to be groomed and cuddled. Has hacked out, but needs confidence with larger traffic, doesn’t like larger vehicles so would need patience in this respect. Also not a fan of cyclists, they have no respect around here and silently fly up behind them! So would need a little work on that.
She lives off thin air, never needs hay even in the winter on no grass, lives in or out, she’s a stocky little weight carrier that always aims to please. Never sick or sorry. Has good strong feet, barefoot and does not need shoes.
She’s only going because its what’s right for her. She needs one to one love, that we just don’t have the time to give her. She will not just go anywhere. No rush for her to go, homes will be vetted. Open for her to be vetted, sold from the field. We will also want her back should you ever want to sell her on. We do not want her being passed around, we want a loving forever home for her.
