Welsh X

The Welsh X a horse that has been crossed with any other Welsh horse breed, such as a Welsh Sec A, Sec B, Sec C, Sec D. It originates from the Welsh Mountain pony, and previous to that, the Celtic pony.Popular crosses are Welsh cross T.B and Welsh cross Warmblood and Arab.  They are known for there steady obliging nature and there ability to perform at top level in all disiplins. 

Welsh cross breeds,can be any height from 12hh to 16.2hh depending on the size of the animal they are crossed with.  Crossed with a coloured thety can produce a coloured part bred with quality. 

Welsh cross ponies can carry the characteristics of other Welsh horses, such as short legs, sturdy bodies, small heads and large eyes. Colours can vary depending on the type of cross. Crossed with a T.B or Warmblood produces quality competition horses with size and substance with the sure footedness and inteligence of a native pony

Welsh X breeds can carry charateristics of other Welsh breeds such as being kind, brave, intelligent and spirited.

Welsh X ponies and horses make good first horses or competition horses for young children. They are also good working horses, or pleasure horses.
