TB X

The TB X is a horse that has been cross bred with a Thoroughbred horse. The most popular breeds to cross a thoroughbred horse with are usually the native ones, because it makes the animal hardy and small enough for children to ride without lossing the characteristics.  The Thoroughbred originates from 17th Century England, where they interbred Arab horses with Native breeds. It was bred for speed and strength.

The TB X horse comes in a variety of sizes due to the fact that it is a cross breed. Sizes range from 11 hh to 18 hh.

The TB X is a cross breed and so can vary in appearance, but it can carry charateristics of the Thoroughbred horse. These include a chiselled head and nuzzle, a deep chest, long strong legs. Colours vary from grey, bay, chestnut, black and brown, but the TB X can have other colour varieties.

As a cross breed,  a TB X can be used in a number of disciplines such as dressage, show jumping and eventing but they often excel at speed due to their Thoroughbred blood.
