For sale or full loan to absolutely 5* home is my adored TB gelding. He's 16.1/2 and 13 years old. I've had him for 5 years during which time I've evented him up to BE100 (and had 2 children!). He is a polite, well schooled, forward going ride. He has good paces, is a keen jumper and has a lovely technique. Plenty of double clears on his record. His dressage is good. He is good to hack and hunt (although strong out hunting he is manageable) and loves cross country although again he can pull a bit if you get him revved up although if you don't he's happy to pootle round on a loose rein popping everything - he's great at everything except ditches which he can have a look at. His manners on the ground are ridiculously good at home and away - my 3 year old can handle him. He is not needy or nappy or annoying any way and has no vices whatsoever. He is now ready for a slightly quieter life with a reasonably lightweight, competent rider (pref under 11 stone) jumping max 80-90cm. I just want someone to appreciate him, love him like I do and look after him like a king. He is still perfectly able to compete in lower level competitions but I don't want him hammered, especially on hard ground. I would like him to live with other horses with stabling and plenty of turnout. His legs have some old lumps and bumps on them from his previous racing career and he can get a bit stiff so needs to be walked out for a few minutes before getting into his work. The vet (who has never been called for him in 5 years apart for routine appointments) says he is absolutely fine for low level competing and general riding activity. I don't think he would suit a novice rider, not because he's naughty, just because he needs someone who knows what they are doing. Please pm me for photos, videos etc. Would love him to stay reasonably local.
