I have owned Gerrard (stable name Jez) for 4 years. We have completed endurance rides, unaffiliated ODE, SJ, XC and Dressage representing Rogate District Riding Club. These events have included Pyecombe and my personal favourite of Hickstead, which was brilliant.
Jez will easily clear 3ft, but the older I get the smaller I want to jump!
Jez will travel on his own without any worries and is good to catch from the field. He is great with the farrier and dentist and will stand whilst he is clipped. He has just had a visit from his favorite dentist and farrier so he is ready to go!!
He is partial to treats and will do anything with food as incentive! This now sounds like I am selling my husband, which for the right price I may include!!!
Jez will hack out alone and with company and due to his forward going pace always ends up at the front. His only vice is that on occasions he gets silly when out hacking and when he finds an exercise difficult so he needs a confident rider to put him back in his place. I have hacked out many occasions with my dog running alongside and Jez has been fantastic. The dog has been the naughty one!
Jez is not a novice ride and would definitely suit an experienced teenager/parent share who want to do more.
