Custom built for personal use by a local female farrier and her mother and designed to be an easy to use ‘ladies box’ featuring a hydraulic rear ramp and is easy to manoeuvre with a short wheelbase and tight turning circle. The lorry has full living with hob, grill(supplied by 2 large gas canisters), sink, double bed, seating, 12v power(with battery isolator) and mains power via hook-up. There is a TV installed, but this is quite small and analogue only so an LCD TV with DVD player is also provided.
The box features 3 lockable saddle racks, bridle racks lots of storage and is currently stalled herringbone for 2 horses, but can be configured for 3 ponies. It has a hidden, ‘lockable’ fuel tank. Cameras for both reversing and the horse area are installed. It even features a horse shower.
The roof was silicon sealed 2 years ago and does not leak. It is plated (MOT'd)until April 2017 and passed this year needing only some fuses and wiper blades, the examiner commenting on its excellent mechanical condition. It has proven reliable and is regularly used and professionally maintained, having the kingpins and all tyres replaced last year, and shows 65000km on the mileometer. As an older lorry it is very robustly built and there are few electrical components, so should continue to prove very reliable.
