16.2hh black, branded Hanovarien gelding. He is well bred, his sire Michelangelo was German stallion of the year 2006 (the last photo is of him, they are identical to look at) Rubinstein I on his dams side and Pasteur into the mix.
He has just turned 9.
He was imported in 2013 and had been competing at Elementary. I am his second English owner and know all this horses history. He was imported by Woodcroft Stud and sold to a lady who I keep in contact with, Rupert was sold to me last year as she had a medical issue that stopped her riding, she drives now. I am selling him as I just don't have any more time, my business keeps me busy and am expanding my other business, I have two children a husband and chickens, just no time to fully devote to this horse!
Rupert is a person horse, he will bond with his owner, he hates multiple people dealing with him, he prefers a one to one. He is stunning to look at, turns heads everywhere he goes, he is jet black and his coat really shines and in excellent condition.
He does X/C, my daughter has been jumping him recently, only 60, but he's started to know what to do! He hacks out, can be spooky alone so best to hack out in company for a while. He does do dressage and will be a lovely ridden show horse. He is not a plod, he loves to work and will be an advanced dressage horse with the right rider and positive attitude. He does not live out, he hates it!
He is good to shoe, load, catch, etc. Does not bite, kick, rear, buck, bolt, nothing!
He is up to date with teeth, jabs and worming.
Rupert does love his food, he eats 2 big bowls of feed a day, he needs pretty much ad lib hay too, except in the field.
This is the bit that needs reading, very carefully please!
Rupert has had surgery for a kissing spine in summer 2014, this surgery was performed by an equine leading back specialist in England and was a complete success. I have the reports and X-rays to show. The surgery was to remove a kissing spine, therefore he no longer has a kissing spine. This surgery has no way hindered Rupert in any way. He will still have the ability to be an advanced dressage horse, just an affordable one. He has a bespoke WoW dressage saddle, this saddle was fitted to him in 2014 after his surgery and has adjustable gullets with a tool kit to fit to his back as he gets fitter/fatter/thinner! The saddle has a sticky seat and piping, there isn't another saddle out there like this one, it's stunning. He is ridden in a Micklem bridle with a Nue Shule Verbindend dressage bit.
He is for sale for £4,000 including the tack Or £2,500 without the tack. May consider a loan home with a view to buy, but must be a 5* home
