Big Mama arrived with us last summer having been a brood mare for most of her life. Lightly backed in 2015 using Natural Horsemanship methods, we turned her away for the winter and started with her again this spring. Mama has been walking out on hacks, doing basic, light schooling and lunging, but hasn't progressed any further than this due to lack of time and my boyfriend, who she was bought for, being a novice rider himself. Currently Big Mama is standing in a field and going to waste, which is such a shame for this low mileage, impressive looking mare. Mama is a genuine, solid horse, not easily phased by much, easy to box and catch. She needs a more experienced rider to continue her education in her new life under saddle. Serious enquiries only please. Sad sale. No loan or LWVTB. Open to any vetting.
