Imperial Waltzer is an 8 year old ex racehorse who finished racing when he was 3. Since then he has been retrained to compete in showjumping, dressage and eventing. He has also been shown locally with good comments from judges (often being placed) and is eligible to be ridden in ror classes. Wally is forward going however never strong or silly therefore he is always ridden in a snaffle. As I am a member of the pony club, Wally has competed in the main 3 disciplines and taken part in fitness rides/hound exercises where I was able to go at the front or back of the ride with no problems. He has competed out show jumping and in hunter trials up to 1m and out training, jumps the BE100 fences confidently. Wally is very well mannered when being dealt with on the ground and will happily stay in the field/stable on his own. He is very good in traffic and isn't phased when being passed by farm vehicles/lorries, whether he is alone or in company. Good to shoe, box, catch etc. and is easy to deal with in all ways.
In recent years, he has been to pony club camp and was selected to be in my college showjumping team.
On the downside, wally has a few sarcoids however these do not affect/cause him pain and have been improving with feed supplements.
