We'd like you to meet Buddy, whom we've owned for 2 years. He is a handsome and talented little man, a great all rounder, who has lots to offer. He is easy to catch, tack up and mount. He loads first time and is happy to travel alone or with company. He's good with the farrier and is up to date with vaccinations, worming and dental checks. He is a really comfy ride with 3 balanced paces. He enjoys schooling, but loves jumping and cross country. He has competed at 80 and could easily do 90. He never bucks or rears. He loves hacking in company, will go first or last, is good in traffic and is used to most animals. He will happily hack alone, but requires confidence from his rider and time to get used to a route. He is ridden and cared for by our two teenage girls. Whilst with us he has been jumping, cross country, trec, agility, hacking and schooling and we've taken him to local competitions, pleasure rides and to the beach. He loves going out on trips and is an absolute star when he is out.
We are being totally honest in saying that Buddy is brilliant and easy to do in so many ways. However, he does not really enjoy being groomed nor over cuddled. He pulls a lot of faces and just occasionally has gone to bite. Last year, whilst we were away, he spent a couple of weeks with our girls instructor and she never had any problem with him. Therefore it is likely to be something to do with us and hence you may never have an issue with him. However, we only felt it right to point out and so, please, no novices. He needs a confident rider and handler. Our teenage girls have managed him happily for 2 years and truly enjoy riding him. However, our eldest daughter is now on a gap year and will be off travelling soon and our younger daughter has her own horse to ride.
We paid £4000 for him 2 years ago and whilst we think he is still worth every penny, we realise we now have to sell him as he enjoys his work and with the absence of our eldest we simply won't be able to continue with this. So he isn't out of work for too long we are looking for a reasonably quick sale and are therefore only asking £3000 ovno. If you genuinely think Buddy might be the little man for you please do get in touch. Open to vetting. Please no time wasters and no novices. Thank you.
